The New B97-3 Pigskin Showdown
Mark Christopher vs. The Seattle Sea GalsThe 17 weeks of regular season has ended and the final score of The B97-3 Pigskin Showdown is...
Mark 236
Sea Gals Cheerleaders 242
The Pigskin Showdown aired on B97-3 every Friday during the 12th man hour (lunch) as 28 Sea Gal Cheerleaders with squad leader Heidi would challenge Mark to a weeks worth of NFL football picks. Most correct picks was a 1 point score but then The Seahawks hit first in the division and so the score was bumped to a 2 point score which then led to such a high score in the final.
The Sea Gals proved that they have high kicks and football picks to win it all. The Sea Gals have now decided that Mark's payoff to them is to learn a dance routine in time for Spring Auditions of The Sea Gals and perform at the Tryout Finals this April. Mark will be the first man ever to tryout with a full dance and in dress uniform. A website broadcast of tryouts will be available through KBSG.COM if you would like to watch Mark and the entire finals of which Gals will be named the 2008 Squad!
Mark was hoping for a victory for listeners as he had plans of a Sea Gals hosted ski bus, a Sea Gals Car Wash or even Sea Gals and Mark appearing at a listeners garage sale.
"To the Sea Gals 2007 Squad, Heidi especially, I congratulate you for your talents, skills and knowledge of America's game...I was very very impressed, next year ladies!" -Mark Christopher

I was raised in Seattle and have a very healthy background of the Northwest. Radio took me out of the area for a few years but then I was back in 1981.
I have avoided most awards and honors simply because I believe the award is every day having someone who still wants me to crack open a mic and have fun hitting the Seattle airwaves with another great song that doesn’t remind you of a TV video but of a person, place or great moment in life!
Tell us about your dad: Capt. George USN. Flew PBY’s at Dutch Harbor at age 24, shot down in June 42’, rescued by USCG after 13 hours adrift in The Gulf of Alaska. Thank you Coast Guard for my life too!
And your mom: Mary, one of the first employees of Stuart Andersons Black Angus on Elliott Ave. She also owned the legendary Mary’s Pop’ins Dress Shop on Queen Anne Hill.
Favorite job outside of radio: For 5 years I served as a Waiter/Room Service/Busboy at Edgewater Hotel (I could write a book).
What High School did you attend: Queen Anne High
Play a Musical Instrument: Drums
Most common misconception: That I own this radio station
Best lessons in life: 5 years as a Seafair Pirate 83’-88’
Is there a Bigfoot: Yes! My brother Bob and I even filed a report, how’s that! Recent sighting in Pennsylvania! Click here to read more!
Hobbies: Boating, fishing salt/fresh, camping, hosting parties for friends and family and helping other’s achieve their goals!
Accomplishments: World record for sitting in hot tub of chocolate (29 hr. 30 min) and convincing The Sea Gals I could get them on stage with The Beach Boys dancing!
Most important to me: Anyone who wants to take time to know me.
Hero: The whole neighborhood of 2nd Ave North and McGraw on Queen Anne Hill.
Should have Could have: I was a fast runner and loved football, I should have asked the coach for more help during high school tryouts as a freshman as to what a running back does. I couldn’t read playbooks very well.
Favorite Movie: “Paint Your Wagon”, what a party!!!
Favorite current TV Show: “Greys,” Deadliest Catch, and any other Seattle based show!
If I could host a Game Show: Deal or No Deal
Favorite place: Give me a summer morning on the Sound at sunrise or sunset!
